What Orders?

So the Passenger Travel office called this morning.  Normally, they reserve airplane tickets and then purchase those tickets two days before the actual flight.  That would be today.  So why did they call?  They didn't have a copy of my orders and wanted me to send them a copy by fax (YGBSM) or email.  Huh?  Really?

So I guess the time about a week and a half ago when I stopped by their office and asked if there was anything, and I mean anything else that I needed to do and they said no, well, I guess that was just for laughs.  After all, it wasn't two days before I was supposed to fly out yet.  What's a little more irritating is that I know the Official Travel office has a copy of my orders.  Luckily, this occurred to me as the lady was talking to me on the phone.  The answer I got back?  I was told that they sent them a list with my name on it to see if they had a copy but she thought she would check with me first.  Allow me to offer a little more context.  Passenger Travel is roughly 10 feet from Official Travel, and I know for a fact that they have a copy of my orders, because I saw it go into a folder with my name on it.  10 ft.  You could ball up a piece of paper and hit one of their staff with that paper, as long as you made it a tight ball and didn't throw like a girl.

So instead of taking care of it when I was there the last time, or asking the folks 10 ft away, they called me and had me email them a copy.  Well, I guess that makes sense.  It makes at least as much sense as starting every paragraph with the word "so."

Cheers,

Richard
